After the Golden Grads Reunion luncheon, on May 5, 2006, the plaque above was unveiled in a ceremony at Western High School.
The plaque denotes the fact that this historic landmark status for the building is a
protection against arbitrary actions that would alter the appearance of the building.
Alumni President Stanley Schaper spoke briefly on the importance of this landmark status
before Myles Johnson unveiled the plaque.
